SUMMIT'07

 

On the eve of Silver Jubille year celebrations, MAEER's MIT, Pune had organized a State Level Inter-Engineering Sports Meet, "MIT SUMMIT '07" on 5th, 6th & 7th of October 2008. SUMMIT was held for the 2nd time at MIT, Pune. Our meet held 15 events in 10 major disciplines which were Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Cricket, Baseball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess, Carrom, Squash.

Response to MIT Summit '07

 

Over 45 colleges participated in SUMMIT with outstation teams coming from major cities like Mumbai, Nashik, Kolhapur, Nanded and Ahmednagar. Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of technology, Ahmedabad and NIT, Surat was given special invite to participate in this meet. More than 1800 sportsperson participated in the four day meet.

MIT's Basketball Women's team has won the basketball tournament against COEP, the score was 43-14..   Congratulations to our Women Basketball Team..

Volleyball (M) brings us a silver..

MIT's Volleyball Women Team lost the finals to P.E.S. Modern COE today at 5 pm.. Anyways, they stood runner-ups..   Congrats to MIT's Women Volleyball Team..

Volleyball (W) win Silver

MIT's Volleyball Women Team lost the finals to Cummins today at 4 pm.. On the bright side, our team did a good job in this tournament.. They stood runner-ups..   Congrats to MIT's Women Volleyball Team..

Waterpolo finals won..

MIT Waterpolo Men's team won the finals against COEP, 4-3 was the final score.. The winning goal was scored by Rachit Mehta, that too in extra time.. 'Player of the Waterpolo Tourney' was awarded to Pratik Bendale. Contrats to our Waterpolo Team..

Rowing bags Gold..

MIT wins 3 golds and 3 silvers in 8 events covered in Rowing event.. Congratulations to our Men and Women Rowing team..

Table Tennis (W) brings a silver..

MIT's Men Cricket Team lost its final battle to VIT's Men Team at Raj Baug by 4 runs..   It was a spectacular match.. Congratulations to both the teams..
